You also are given a “Premiere Relationship Manager” with this account. The HSBC website describes this person as someone who understands your full financial life and can work with other internal experts to ensure you can effectively mange your wealth and transactions.
What does the APY interest of $750 bank bonus equate to for a deposit of $100k? Well its 3%. This isn’t bad for emergency funds if you have that much. The best high yield savings rate we’ve seen so far is around 2.45%.
HSBC Advance Checking Bonus
The Advance Checking Bonus is $350 if you meet the below criteria. This one seems a little easier than the Premiere.
- Open the account by March 29, 2019
- Deposit the minimum qualifying balance of $10k or more of new money into the account within 30 days
- Maintain the minimum qualifying balance for 90 days
After meeting all of the criteria, then the bonus will be deposited into your account within 8 weeks. With this account you don’t get the Premiere Relationship Manager but you do get free ATM fees at non HSBC ATMs.
The interest rate for this bonus if you deposit the minimum $10k for 90 days is a whopping 14% APY. This is really good.
HSBC Choice Checking Bonus
The Choice Checking Bonus is $100 if you meet the below criteria. This one seems a little easier than the Premiere.
- Open the account by March 29, 2019
- Deposit the minimum qualifying balance of $1,500 or more of new money into the account within 30 days
- Maintain the minimum qualifying balance for 90 days
There may be some ATM fees with HSBC ATMs and other ATMs.
The interest rate for this $100 bonus if you deposit the minimum $1,500 for 90 days is a whopping 26% APY. This is really, really good.
